Hey to everyone back home I miss y’all so much!! Hope everyone is doing well.

I got here two days ago and got registered. Everyone thankfully tested negative for Covid! Praise Jesus!! The whole first day was great, minus the fact of me having a pit in my stomach because of how nervous I was. I got to reunite with my new family and it was just a blessing of relief of finally be here. The whole day, I couldn’t process where I was and what I was doing in this place again. Everything just didn’t seem real because all we did was get situated and go over announcements.

The next day when we got to the pavilion, for more announcements, they told us we were going to do three hours of silence and solitude. I was very unsure of what I was going to do in those three hours. I thought this was about to be the longest three hours of my life. When we got there though and everyone found their quiet place; some took naps, some took a walk, some just went and sat to themselves for the three hours, some did what I did and journaled and read my bible. They gave us processing questions and those really helped and made me think through everything. Through that God showed me why I am really here. At worship emotions flooded my mind about everything. Satan was really filling my mind with doubts.

The next morning, I got reminded of how good God was and watched the prettiest sunrise. I remembered what we are trying to live out through this trip. Luke 9:1-6 which states ” When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. He told them: “Take nothing for the journey—no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra shirt. Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town.If people do not welcome you, leave their town and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.” So they set out and went from village to village, proclaiming the good news and healing people everywhere.”  Reading this verse, I really was like this puts it into perfect words of why we all are here. Even if our relationship with the Lord is on the fence or we are questioning everything, we are here to go and be Gods disciples and go and try to mend not only our own relationship with him but most of all others hearts. We have the oppurtunity to heal whatever other people are going through by being there for them or just being able to put a smile on their faces.

We test for Covid again in 6 days and if every squad is negative we get to all be together again. Please pray for that.

My team time was amazing last night and I am in love with the 5 girls that were put on my team and so happy to further my relationship with them.

  1. You are there on purpose, no accidents. Ask Him all the questions you have. The Word and The Spirit will be faithful.
