Last two weeks of October my squad went to New Orleans to help with hurricane Ida relief. We had the privilege to go help restore houses that had been hit and got to share the Gospel to people and just give them a little glimpse of hope. My team got knee deep down in; lots of mold, insulation, dry walls, termites, bed bugs, and taking nails out of ceiling planks. We got to present a Billy Graham Bible at the end of each house with lots of notes from each one of my team members and seeing the faces of the homeowners when they received it was a good reminder of why I signed up for this trip. The hospitality at Samaritans Purse was crazy. Each and every single team leader became like family to us and it was really hard to leave them but it was the memories that I will keep dear to my heart for the rest of my life. God showed me so much through each and every one the homeowners and each person I met through those two weeks. Now my squad is onto its second week in Costa Rica doing ministry of all different types and I will try to post a blog soon about everything I’ve experienced so far! Prayer requests. We stay Faithful through all the hard parts.Community stays strong! We have 45 people in a small place compared to what we are used to. Open hearts and minds for what ever comes next!
So thankful all of you have the opportunity to do such good works. God is smiling down on you. Keep up the great works.
